Galeria in Paris

Anyone who’s been following Galeria for a length of time knows that we are this crossroad where creative minds meet and, dear mates, this is a short story about how wonderful it is when Galeria leaves the online world and becomes a reality.

A few weeks ago a great tenor who hails from Queens, Francisco Corredor posted a message on our facebook group, asking if other mates around Paris could met up with him, talk art or have a jam session. I live in Paris so I answered the message even if the only jam session I can have is under my shower. I did it because I was sure that it was going to be interesting to share about my journey in the startup ecosystem and hear about his story and experiences.

Time went by and we finally met in one of the most amazing rooftop I've ever been in Paris. In this atmosphere, I discovered Frankie’s soul and his work. We talked about New York, about his lively interpretations in the OK Mozart International Festival and Salzburg Festival in Austria.

Through his words I discovered Paris in another way. He talked to me about all these wonderfull musicians, I discovered that Tony Bennett was one of his mentors and that Frankie is Colombian just like me. We talked about Bare Opera, an alternative opera startup where he used to work and about all the possible work connexions. He even sang to me one of my favorite salsa songs.

Dear mates, it’s funny how you can meet wonderful people where you least expect it. It's this community of amazing human beings coming to life. I hope to meet more of you soon :)
