Cinema DOM

This project is about a pretty special school, where children can dream and transform their lives through cinema lessons. Our mate, Maria Quadra, teamed up with a public school for low income families in Brazil in an attempt to share her love for cinema with these amazing kids. The goal of Anna Gabriela Malta and Maria Quadra, teacher and volunteer at DOM Cipriano Chagas School, is to put together education and art in one class. There, children who usually don’t have the chance to go to the movies, will learn how important it is to grow up with « Peter Pan » or why beauty is more than a physical aspect with « Beauty and the Beast ».

To make this amazing project come to life, they need to buy a home theater and all the materials to transform one of their rooms into a real cinema. So, they decided to launch a crowfunding initiative to get 9 000 BRL (around 2 500 USD). They reached this first goal in just 5 days! Yeah, 5 days!
